About the Presenter:

Pat Adams is the Managing Partner and owner of Acquisition Finders. He first came to Acquisition Finders as a client in search of a small business to buy. After stepping down as CEO of a private-equity-owned manufacturer of ultra-high-pressure equipment, he was tired of the global travel and looking for a superior work / life balance. Pat was introduced to Acquisition Finders after months of searching unsuccessfully for a suitable business. If you are interested in buying a business, interested in having more control over your professional and personal life, Pat has been in your shoes.

Prior to joining Acquisition Finders, Pat served as a senior exec of multiple private and public companies, both domestic and international. In these roles he gained extensive experience in operations, sales, sales channel development, financing, quality, staffing and regulatory compliance in a number of different end markets. A few of these businesses included:

A medical products sterilization business where he led the start-up and nation-wide growth for private holding company.

A public irradiation sterilization company where he led building a new division using gas technology, funded through a secondary public offering.

Prior to coming to Acquisition Finders, Barton Adams spent time in Denver leading three sales teams across storage, networking, and video conferencing categories in the IT space. His teams were responsible for driving over $30M is contract revenue annually. Barton then relocated to Memphis, TN, to carve out a territory of his own within the Out-Of-Home advertising market, where he built a sizeable book of business in what was considered a fully saturated market. Barton began working with Acquisition Finders part-time in 2016 as the Vice President of Franchise Renewals, working with numerous franchisors and franchisees for two years. In 2018, Barton and his wife relocated to Nashville to help open the office in Brentwood and transitioned to full-time with the firm. Barton’s expertise lies in client acquisitions, relationship development and management, project coordination, marketing, and sales. Having managed numerous teams and his own book of business, Barton has a deep understanding of what it takes to successfully operate your own business.

Barton’s time with Acquisition Finders has given him exposure to all sides of our business. From leading resale efforts to working with individuals, organizations, family funds and private equity firms on acquisitions of existing businesses, Barton has brought success to his clients on both sides of our firm. One client highlight would include working with a former Fortune 50 CMO who wanted more freedom and creativity in her career, matching her with a highly profitable stone business focused on dense residential and commercial construction. Another highlight would be a former VP of Global Supply Chain for a Fortune 50 owned medical diagnostics organization, matching him with a freight brokerage service in one of the US’ largest and busiest ports. Finding fits like this for his clients is what has made Barton successful with our firm.

Barton graduated from the University of Mississippi with a B.A. in Marketing. He, his wife and their mob of pets live in Franklin, TN.

Austin Adams came to Acquisition Finders in 2018 after a decade in New York, where he was the National Sales & Operations Manager for a multi-million-dollar luxury goods distributor serving preeminent department stores such as Bergdorf Goodman, Barney’s and Saks Fifth Avenue. Austin has extensive experience in business development, communications and logistics. As someone who has managed a small business himself, Austin understands the challenges and opportunities of business ownership.

In his four years at Acquisition Finders, Austin has helped entrepreneurial former executives from wide-ranging backgrounds buy businesses in a variety of industries. From a former semiconductor procurement manager who found an unexpectedly good fit in the niche world of model-home maintenance to a C-suite operations manager of a nationwide chain of fashion boutiques who spied an opportunity in a large network of franchise locations in the electronics industry, whatever your background, Austin believes there is a business out there for you.

Austin is a summa cum laude graduate of New York University. He lives in Nashville, where he enjoys literature and fitness.
