Your resume matters… a lot.
ExecuNet career strategist and former recruiter Stacie Haller says that an outdated resume is enough to keep a candidate from even getting an interview. Employers want candidates who are up-to-date. Your resume is an example of your work, maybe the most valuable example considering its personal importance. If it does not demonstrate what’s current in resumes, it shows a lack of understanding of marketing and a general behind the times vibe.
