There is nothing like having an expert tell you how it is, straight with no ambiguity.

That’s what we got from ExecuNet Career Strategist Stacie Haller in a session of Fresh Start. During the Q&A, Stacie said, “You can’t just list your ingredients and expect someone to ‘buy’ you.” She was, of course, making a metaphor in which you as a job seeker are a product seeking a buyer. Just listing the ingredients is not enough of a marketing strategy for a product, and for a job seeker just listing positions and duties is not any better.
