People-Focused or Profit Focused?

Some business leaders say, “They can get happy on their own time. I just need them to productive when they’re here.” Tom Manenti, Chairman and CEO of MiTek Industries, Inc., a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, does not believe in this approach. Instead he believes, “Happy employees are ‘purpose partners’ and happy customers and high profits will follow.”
