1.) “Many organizations get caught up in definitions of innovations and forget to set up and nurture the right environment to foster innovation. Senior managers also need to appreciate that innovation can originate from different functions or levels. In a large company where I worked, a truly innovative idea came from one mid-level manager who was not particularly well-liked at senior executive levels. Luckily, one of the execs took the time to understand the concept and this has now transformed a large chunk of the company business.”
