Prior to joining Right Management, John served in a number of human resource management and consulting roles with Ameriprise Financial (formerly IDS Financial Services Inc.). Hired to conduct marketing research with financial planners, clients, employees and the general public, he soon became responsible for the recruitment, selection, licensing, training and professional development of the field organization. While at IDS, he chaired the human resource research committees of two national trade associations in the financial services industry.

John holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Child Psychology from the University of Toronto and a doctorate in Industrial / Organizational Psychology from the University of Minnesota.
