In these unique and challenging times, it would be an understatement to say we are all faced with new challenges. What I do know is we will get through this, exactly when remains to be determined, but while we work through this global crisis, ExecuNet can play a role in helping you be ready for your career challenges once we reach the other side of this crisis.

The idea of “social distancing” is pretty much the opposite of what we’re about at ExecuNet. We believe strongly in the ideas of gathering, networking, and most of all, connecting you with people, insights and opportunities, and getting down to what really matters most to you in your career.

As a company, we remain committed to continuing to provide you with a multitude of resources that combine to help members move to a new leadership role, including access to our strategists and coaches when you feel the need for individual help.

It should come as no surprise that the recruitment process already has been affected. Many companies are or will be moving many if not all interviews online. In addition, some organizations will temporarily pull back on hiring in light of the impact on their bottom line. None of this, however, means that anyone needs to or should suspend your efforts.

Think about it this way: While hiring may slow for a while, there are openings that will need filling no matter what is going on. Indeed, given the circumstances, there may well be other opportunities created.  In addition, once things begin to return to normal, organizations will want to move quickly.

Having focused solely on the executive marketplace for 30+ years, we have helped our members navigate the senior level search process during both boom and bust cycles, and our experience has been that those openings will be filled by those who continue to be prepared and ready to respond.

In short, those who know how to tell a powerful story about their accomplishments, the value they will create and the difference they will make are the ones who get interviewed and hired.
