And employers must be able to respond to those thank you emails in an appropriate and timely manner.

In addition to responding to thank you emails, employers should also be able to express gratitude towards candidates at regular intervals through the interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes. There are several reasons for this. First, candidates typically put in a great deal of time, energy, and research before reaching out to a prospective employer. In addition, they may even be putting their current jobs in jeopardy by searching for a new position. It’s crucial, therefore, for employers and hiring managers to express their appreciation to candidates who have put in the legwork to apply for a role.
