ExecuNet’s Coach Don Talks About Resume Length

My resume is quite long, six pages. I am proud of everything I have done and am not sure what I should leave out. Should I have different versions? Can you help me?

This was one of many questions Master Class Host Tony Vlahos asked ExecuNet’s Coach Don in Ask Coach Don Your Job Search Questions, a session of ExecuNet Master Class. Don went on to explain that while their may be many wonderful things that person has accomplished in his career, no one will actually be interested in reading a six page resume. That person needs a professional’s help to parse the words and reduce it down to a manageable size that tells his unique story. Listen to Coach Don’s answer:

Don Weintraub is a Strategist and Coach with ExecuNet’s Career Strategy Group. He works with ExecuNet VIPs every day to help them reach their career goals. Do you want to be next?
