Changing industries has long been a daunting obstacle for executives who would like to make a change. Executive recruiter Sharon Hulce, founder of Employment Resource Group, Inc, discussed the topic with ExecuNet’s Tony Vlahos, and she agreed that changing industry can be challenging, as recruiters are paid to land the best in the industry. Someone who wants to break into a new industry simply won’t make the same compensation, but they can still do very well and set themselves up for down the road.
