Amazon Just Ruined Your Day

If you missed it in yesterday’s Journal, Amazon just decided to add two more headquarters… instead of just one.

Insiders say that Mr. Bezos and team were concerned about the reality of attracting 50,000 talented folks in one city fast enough to support their growth. So, instead, they’ll be adding 25,000 people in and different cities.

(We’ll know which ones soon.)

This doubles the chance that your best people are about to start getting phone calls from Amazon recruiters trying to lure them. I’ve worked with Amazon recruiters. They’re good. Really good.

So, now’s the time to Headhunter-Proof your company.

And the good news is that it’s not just about paying more. Rockstar employees stay because they’re challenged, engaged, and working with a team of winners.

Do you have what it takes to keep your people when Amazon comes to town?

I put together an 18-point PDF checklist to help you Headhunter-Proof your company.
