How can I use the ExecuNet Market Trend Watch indices, the quarterly Executive Talent Demand Index and the Executive Job Index?
Percentage of executive search firms planning to hire additional professional staff during the next 3 months More Executive Search Firms Consider Growing their Own Teams
Source: ExecuNet
Summary Analysis:
While most executive recruiters hold tight to a "wait and see" approach to matching internal resources with mounting corporate client priorities, more of them are considering expanding their own consulting and research teams to do just that over the next three months.
In January, ExecuNet's benchmark Search Firm Hiring Index revealed that 28 percent of 157 responding executive recruiters indicated they would be adding new professional research and consulting staff over the next three months, a gain of nine points from December. That was also the highest level registered since February 2011.
The question for those in the executive recruiting business will be whether their January 2012 optimism will be sustained in the coming months.
The answer to that question will no doubt hinge on whether corporate hiring for senior-management roles picks up in the first quarter, and whether the pace of senior-level jobs growth will extend into the second quarter.
"Thanks again for providing an excellent service to retained search firms looking for quality, high-end candidates. Keep up the good work and we will continue to utilize your service for all of our executive searches."
