Executive Demand Expected To Remain A Bright Spot In The Employment Market
www.execunet.com — October 3, 2007 — In the midst of growing concern surrounding the pace of U.S. economic growth, the outlook for executive employment market remains positive. ExecuNet's Recruiters Confidence Index (RCI), which dipped in August, rebounded in September as companies continued to compete aggressively for top talent in an increasingly tight market.
Introduced in May 2003, the Recruiter Confidence Index is based on a monthly survey of thousands of executive recruiters conducted by ExecuNet (www.execunet.com), the executive career and business networking organization. Independent analysis of the RCI has confirmed it is a leading indicator for the executive search industry.
According to September's survey of 125 executive recruiters, 60% are confident or very confident the executive employment market will improve during the next six months – up from 55% one month ago.

The executive search industry's outlook for job growth during the fourth quarter remained bullish, as the vast majority of professionals (78%) expects at least a 10% increase in the number of assignments received from corporate clients before year-end. To help manage this growth, nearly half of all search firms (46%) plan to add professional staff during this period of time. In the previous three months, 32% of all firms increased their staff.
"Based on the amount of pent-up demand in the market, predictions of strong executive level job growth though the first quarter of 2008 are well within reach," says Mark Anderson, President of ExecuNet.
