Overall demand for executive talent in the 1st quarter of 2003 was flat compared to the 1st quarter of 2002. However, growth in demand for Consulting (38%), MIS/IT (30%), and Sales & Marketing (4%) improved. Demand for Legal/Regulatory Affairs executives continued to improve with a year over year increase of 13%.
In other functional areas, General Management, Human Resources, Operations Management and Finance, the demand for executive talent posted a decline in the 1st quarter of 2003 of 15%, 24%, 8% and 3% respectively compared to the 1st quarter of 2002.
