The Index is at 186.3 (1997=100), down slightly from 189.9 at the end of June. There was above-average demand for General Management, MIS/IT and Operations Management executives in July. Demand for Human Resources, Consulting, Finance and Sales/Marketing executives trailed the average during the month.
"Unlike last year, the executive employment market is holding its ground this summer," says Mark Anderson, President of ExecuNet. "Given the pace of the economy's recovery, we expect demand for executive talent to gradually improve during the second half of the year."
