Reports to: CEO
CLIENT: A Privately held 40 year Distributor of Consumer Products Manufactured in China and sold through leading Retailers generating Sales in the $25-$50 Million range. Our Client has a very strong Balance Sheet and is Debt Free. Due to their unique status, need for traditional Financial experience: i.e. Banking Relationships, Cash Flow, Credit, etc. are not essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the CEO, this Position supervises a Financial Staff of 6-7 persons with primary duties to include: Financial Statement Preparation, Account Reconciliation, Resolution of Complex Account Receivable Issues, Audit Functions, Budget Development and Analysis, Credit Administration (Customer), Product Profitability Analysis, Receivables Aging/Collection Issues, and other related functions. This position will also be responsible for Maintenance of the Company's 401K Plan, act as Payroll Administrator and assist the CPA Firm in preparation of Annual Tax Returns and supporting Schedules. Some travel overseas may be required.
PERSONALITY: Ideal Candidate will be a highly motivated, involved team player with a "hands-on" attitude, able to see the "big picture" relating to daily operations and financial statement preparation. As a Member of the Senior Level Decision Makers, must exhibit excellent leadership, oral & written communication skills to influence the confidence of the Non-Financial Executives to achieve targeted 3 years of projected significant growth. Clock watchers need not apply.
EXPERIENCE:Minimum of 10 years Financial experience with a Consumer Products Manufacturer or Distributor with a strong knowledge of Inventory Management and related Accounting Policies including Standard Costing, Audit Process(es). Working knowledge of Foreign Currency Translation as detailed in FASB Statement No. 52 and Currency Hedging Techniques. Software experience in APPRISE (or similar) and the ability to deal with Corporate Administration functions: Contract Administration with Customers, Clients, Media Sources, Facilities Management, Legal Counsel, Insurance Agencies, Credit Insurance etc. Educational requirements include Undergraduate Degree in Accounting, MBA and CPA a must.
COMPENSATION: Base Salary is targeted in the low to mid $100,000 range (commensurate with experience) plus Bonus. Benefits include: Paid Health, Medical, Dental, Disability, Life Insurance, 401K, Paid Holidays and Vacation.
